Danaher announced plans for an AI-powered autonomous research lab on October 7. Expected to operate at scale in early 2027, the Abcam-based facility would combine AI design, robotic experiments and feedback from test results to develop antibodies and other affinity reagents. Danaher says the approach could accelerate discovery by up to eight times and eventually increase annual reagent generation by as much as tenfold.
