Fair Isaac Corporation, known as FICO, disclosed an organization-wide workforce reduction plan in an October 6 securities filing. Management committed to the plan on October 1, and the company says it will eliminate approximately 15% of positions. Employee notifications began during the week of October 5. FICO describes fewer management layers, a simpler operating structure, process and tool changes, and integration of AI-driven product development as elements of the plan. It expects the reduction to be substantially complete by the end of its third fiscal quarter of 2027. The filing does not say that AI alone caused the cuts or that every affected job will be automated.
