Google Constellation power agreements timeline
Google contracted for 3,590 megawatts of electricity from Constellation Energy in the PJM grid, Reuters reported on October 6. A 20-year purchase agreement covers 890 megawatts from Constellation nuclear plants that are to be upgraded, with the first delivery expected in 2028. A separate long-term agreement covers another 2,700 megawatts whose generation source was not specified. The companies said the arrangement would enable more than $4.3 billion in new investment by Constellation. That is planned Constellation investment, not a disclosed Google payment. The contracted capacity is also not all new nuclear generation or power already being delivered.
