Available in two Indian regions
IBM and Yotta announced general availability of their Sovereign Agentic AI Platform on September 29. They say Indian organisations can deploy enterprise AI agents through Yotta’s Panvel and Greater Noida cloud regions. The offering combines IBM watsonx Orchestrate for managing and governing agents with Yotta’s Shakti Cloud infrastructure and Shakti Studio for model development and inference. The companies list security operations, document processing and HR automation as possible workflows.
Scope still needs checking
The announcement presents Indian control of data, operations and governance as a design goal. It does not document the data path of every model call or connected application. eWeek also notes that a May partnership plan mentioned IBM Sovereign Core, while the September availability announcement does not confirm that component is included. Buyers should check the deployed configuration and contract before treating the platform name as proof that every integration remains within India. IBM and Yotta did not provide pricing, service-level terms or customer performance results in the reviewed announcement.
