CNBC reported on October 8 that Butterfly Effect, the company behind the Manus AI agent, says it has completed a funding round of more than $500 million. Boyu Capital and IDG Capital led the round, while Tencent, HSG and ZhenFund participated, according to the company. Butterfly Effect did not disclose its valuation or the full financial terms. The completed financing should therefore not be confused with an earlier reported valuation target.
