A youth version of MIT’s venture curriculum
MIT News reported on October 2 that the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship has opened Dear Dreamer, a free AI-supported learning platform for middle- and high-school students. It adapts the center’s disciplined entrepreneurship framework into a self-paced experience with short videos, interactive exercises and personalized feedback on a student’s business idea. The public Dear Dreamer website is available.
What is known so far
Center director Bill Aulet says the team worked with younger students to adapt examples and presentation for their age group. His goal of reaching 50,000 young entrepreneurs by 2030 is an ambition, not current enrollment. MIT’s announcement does not present an independent evaluation of learning outcomes or establish how consistently the AI feedback helps students improve their ideas.
