Rivercell AI Virtual Cell programme

Rivercell announced a $25 million seed round on October 7, led by HV with HCVC, Alven and Bpifrance Digital Venture participating. The Paris-based company says it will use the funding to expand a laboratory and data-generation platform that measures how human cells respond to drugs and genetic changes. It plans to use those observations to train an AI Virtual Cell model. EU-Startups independently reported the funding and the planned expansion. The announcement establishes the financing and research direction, not that a validated model can already predict treatment outcomes or replace physical experiments.
