Sesterce Jamsa AI campus plan timeline
Sesterce announced on October 8 that it plans to develop a large AI computing campus at the former Kaipola paper mill in Jamsa, Finland. The French company puts the proposed investment at more than EUR 10 billion. It says construction of a 200 MW first phase is planned to start in 2026, with a later 600 MW capacity target and an unnamed anchor customer already identified. Reuters reported the plan the same day. Sesterce also proposed renewable-energy, water-use and community-fund commitments. Those pledges and capacity figures concern a project that has not yet been built; the announcement does not establish that the full investment has been financed or that the campus is operating.
