Sierra and Meta Personal Agent Protocol timeline
Sierra and Meta announced Personal Agent Protocol on October 6 as an open standard under development for personal AI agents acting on behalf of customers. Sierra says the proposed design would let a business identify an agent, manage account access and choose whether the agent uses its website, APIs or its own customer-service agent. Shopify, Stripe, Walmart and other companies are participating. The first specification and reference implementation are planned, not yet available as finished deployments.
