Underdog local assistant beta timeline
Underdog opened an invite-only beta of its personal AI assistant, TechCrunch reported on October 6 after interviewing founder Sigil Wen. Its website lists Mac and Windows beta access, with Linux, iPhone and Android versions described as future plans. The company says its 27-billion-parameter model, built on Qwen 3.8 27B, runs on a user’s device and can work with email, calendars and everyday errands. The site says account keys are encrypted and saved memories stay on the computer. Those privacy and performance descriptions come from Underdog; the reviewed sources do not independently audit its software or establish how reliably it completes tasks.
