Anthropic launches Claude Frontier Academy for enterprise engineers
Anthropic has started nominated engineering cohorts and says it will commit $100 million toward training 10,000 people by the end of 2027.
Training for production deployments
Anthropic launched Claude Frontier Academy on October 2 with a stated $100 million commitment and a goal of training 10,000 Frontier Deployed Engineers by the end of 2027. The company says the first cohorts are already running in San Francisco, New York and London. It named engineers from Accenture, Bain, Capgemini, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Deloitte, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley and Novo Nordisk among early participants. The goal is to build staff who can take a named Claude project through deployment inside their own organization.
How the residency works
Anthropic says organizations nominate engineers rather than having individuals enroll openly. Participants begin with an in-person program and a graded practical exercise based on a simulated enterprise deployment. Those who pass enter a 12-week residency to lead a real use case at their employer with support from Anthropic engineers. A second assessment determines whether they earn the Frontier Deployed Engineer badge. Anthropic expects the first badges in early 2027. Its spending figure is a commitment and the 10,000-person figure is a future target; neither is a reported count of graduates or completed deployments.
