Flai raises $27 million and launches AI-native dealership CRM
The startup says its new service and sales system can take action across customer conversations, appointments and dealership workflows.
From customer contact to dealership work
Flai announced a $27 million Series A led by Base10 Partners on October 6. Toyota Ventures, First Round Capital, Y Combinator, The Friedkin Group and Findlay Automotive Group also participated, according to the company. Alongside the funding, Flai introduced what it calls an AI-native Service and Sales CRM for car dealerships. Its stated aim is to move beyond answering calls and messages: agents can follow up with customers, arrange visits, identify missed opportunities and update dealership systems. Flai says the system can alert staff with context and a suggested next step when a case needs human judgment.
Flai says its software schedules more than 50,000 sales and service appointments each month and is used by more than 20% of the 50 largest US dealer groups. In an exclusive TechCrunch interview, chief executive Ari Polakof said revenue had grown 20-fold over the past year. These are company-reported figures, not independently audited results. The announcement establishes a new funding round and product direction; it does not show how reliably the CRM resolves issues without staff intervention or how much administrative work dealerships have actually eliminated.
