ZCode gained another 1.2k stars while you were sleeping
The two-day-old coding-agent harness moved from roughly 4.7k to 5.9k GitHub stars, with forks climbing past 1.7k.
What happened
Z.ai created the public ZCode repository on September 20. By the afternoon of September 22 in Shanghai, GitHub showed about 5,925 stars and 1,701 forks. Our previous snapshot from September 21 recorded roughly 4,728 stars and 1,305 forks.
The interesting part
The repository is spreading much faster on GitHub than on Hacker News. Its HN submission had only four points and no comments at the time of this snapshot. That gap suggests direct distribution through developer networks rather than a single front-page spike.
Hype check
Stars measure attention, not whether permission boundaries, recovery and code review are solid. The next useful signal is what developers build with it and which issues emerge after real repository use.
