WireStudio turns a device design into ESPHome YAML, wiring information, KiCad artifacts and an OpenSCAD enclosure. It is MIT licensed and requires Python 3.11 or newer. The documented source installation uses pip install -e . and starts the local server with python -m wirestudio.api.
An optional embedded agent uses an Anthropic API key. MCP hosts can instead connect with a bearer token and use their own model account. Configured hardware tools can submit jobs or change devices; REST authentication is separate from MCP authentication. Version 0.40.0 adds a print-warden enclosure handoff, with print starts governed by the warden’s operator or automatic-start policy.
