SemiAnalysis study of Chinese AI model safety disclosures

SemiAnalysis reviewed 857 model releases by nine Chinese AI developers and found published safety-evaluation results linked to 31 of them. Nine had results available by launch. Reuters reported the study on October 9. The count concerns public disclosures under the researchers’ definition; it does not establish whether other models underwent private tests or how their safety compares with models from other countries.
