A reusable workspace for Codex
At OpenAI’s September 29 DevDay, the company announced reusable cloud development environments for Codex, according to TechCrunch. The report says these environments can retain approved settings and permissions, giving teams a shared starting point for work across computers, phones and the cloud. That differs from treating every remote task as a separate temporary sandbox.
Other announced workflows
TechCrunch also reports a refreshed Codex command-line tool with voice controls, a code review experience in the ChatGPT desktop app, and Codex Security Cloud for repository scans and proposed fixes. These are reported product announcements; the source does not provide independent measurements of task startup time, review accuracy or security findings. Teams evaluating the features still need to test permissions and review generated changes in their own repositories.
