Gartner open-weight agent workflow forecast

The Register reported on November 3 that Gartner analysts Mark Petty and Raymond Paquet expect open-weight models to execute 90% of enterprise operational agent workflow steps by 2030. Their argument separates routine classification, tool calls and data handling from harder reasoning.
