Google plans to turn access off for K-12 student accounts until school administrators explicitly enable the affected products. Its November 3 announcement lists Gemini, Gemini Notebook, Gemini in Classroom and Google Search. The original notice promises more implementation details in the coming months; TechCrunch reports next-year timing.
Guided Learning is a separate rollout: available globally in Classroom from November 3, with a Search pilot in select U.S. schools planned later in the month. Google describes coaching and teacher insights, rather than establishing independently measured outcomes for every classroom.
