Nix Demo
Geoffrey Huntley's example of a reusable Nix overlay that patches Git and supplies the same variant to a developer shell, container image and NixOS test.

Nix Demo timeline
Nix Demo describes a Git variant that refuses force pushes and distributes it through one overlay. The repository includes developer-shell tests, a NixOS VM test and an OCI image definition. Its flake lists x86_64-linux and aarch64-linux; the VM test requires Linux with KVM.
Huntley’s October 14 UTC remix essay uses this existing October 7 repository as an example of maintaining small downstream adaptations. The example is not a coding-agent package and does not itself require a model API key. The reviewed root has no declared repository license, so its public availability should not be treated as a permissive licensing grant. AITrending has read the sources but has not run its builds.
