Nomi's video hotfix retrieves finished clips without resubmitting jobs
The v0.23.2 English release notes describe fixes for missing provider results, wrong media types and agent-drafted video jobs that failed to start.
Nomi’s v0.23.2 update targets an expensive frustration in AI video creation: a provider has finished a clip, but the desktop studio cannot retrieve it. In the release’s English “What changed” section, the maintainer says the hotfix correctly reads the completed result and places it on its canvas node, instead of leaving the user stuck or mistaking an echoed reference image for the output.
Retrieve the existing result
The maintainer says Retrieve again checks the existing result without submitting another generation job. That distinction matters when a clip has already been paid for upstream. It describes Nomi’s request behavior, rather than a guarantee about every provider’s billing rules or refunds.
The same English notes say the application now identifies which retrieval stage failed and shows the last error. Before saving an output into the project, it checks whether the returned media matches the task’s expected image or video type. The release also addresses a common cause of agent-drafted video jobs doing nothing when the user presses Generate; unresolved starts should identify the problematic parameter. These are documented maintainer claims, not AITrending test results.
A studio around your own providers
Nomi is a standalone, AGPL-3.0-only video workbench with a canvas, storyboard and timeline, not a new video model. Its English README lists macOS arm64 and Intel builds and Windows x64, with users connecting their own provider keys, compatible endpoints or local ComfyUI. Users pay the selected providers directly. Its agent offers per-step approval, automatic editing and full-auto modes; choosing an external model still sends the generation inputs to that provider.
The October 18 hotfix is the new event. The broader agent and storyboard workflow predates this release.
