Nous Research raises $90 million and introduces Hermes for Businesses
A reported $90 million Series B backs an enterprise version of the Hermes agent, though access and deployment details remain unclear.
Funding an enterprise push
Nous Research has closed a $90 million Series B at a $1.5 billion valuation, TechCrunch reported on October 7, confirming its earlier reporting that the company had sought funding at that valuation. Robot Ventures led the round, with Nvidia, Union Square Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Samsung and other investors participating, according to TechCrunch. The report puts Nous Research’s total funding at $158 million. These are financing details reported by TechCrunch, not a public performance test of the company’s agents.
Hermes for business workflows
The company also introduced Hermes for Businesses, an enterprise offering built around its existing Hermes Agent. TechCrunch describes customizable agents intended to carry out multi-step work while keeping company data private and secure. The official Hermes site explains the existing agent, but the reviewed sources do not establish a general availability date, pricing or deployment terms for the business offering. TechCrunch attributes its figures for Hermes clones and global token use to Nous Research’s own estimates; those numbers should not be read as independently verified adoption. Organizations will need details on data controls, permissions and reliability before judging whether the new offering fits their workflows.
