Osaurus adds Claude Code and Pi runtimes to its Mac agent workspace
The October 24 release connects external harnesses, imports agent bundles and adds an optional local access key.
Osaurus 0.25.26 expands the Mac application’s role as an agent workspace with pluggable harness runtimes for Claude Code and Pi. Published October 24, the release adds runtime selection and configuration alongside bundle import and agent-template exchange. It is an application integration update, not a new underlying language model.
The release describes configuration documents and bundles for these runtimes, plus an osaurus import command. It also adds an optional local access key for sensitive routes. Users should examine the imported configuration and the permissions of the selected runtime before granting access to working files.
The versioned English documentation requires Apple Silicon and macOS 15.5 or newer. It documents a standard disk image that downloads a chosen model during onboarding and a larger build with Raptor 0.6 bundled for offline chat after installation. Homebrew installation is also documented.
Local inference and external runtimes have different requirements. Support for a locally stored model does not make a Claude Code session offline or include its provider access. Cloud providers process requests under their own terms, and credentials or charges remain separate. For Mac users combining several agent workflows, the release is worth examining for shared configuration and portability; the integration claims have not been independently tested here.
