Talorys adds push reminders and puts memory changes up for review
New source commits let the personal AI assistant send reminders beyond its open tab and ask before retiring potentially outdated memories.
Reminders that can reach you outside the app
Talorys, an open-source personal AI assistant deployed in the owner’s Cloudflare account, has added Web Push delivery to its source tree. The October 13 commit says reminders, task digests and scheduled AI routines previously reached only the in-app notification center. The new implementation also sends them to devices on which the owner enables push, allowing notifications to arrive when Talorys is closed. Its documentation says iPhone and iPad users must first add the web app to their Home Screen.
Asking before a memory becomes history
A separate October 14 source change adjusts how the assistant handles facts that may replace older memories. Without the optional AI conflict check, wording rules now keep both memories and flag the possible update for the user’s review, rather than automatically moving the older one into history. The documentation gives moving between cities as an example. Users can mark the older fact as past or keep both current.
The optional Clef check is off by default. According to the project, a sufficiently confident replacement decision can still mark an older memory as historical, with an option to restore it. These are documented behaviors and inspected source changes, not an independent assessment of real-world memory accuracy or notification reliability.
Source changes precede the installer
At review time, npm still listed create-talorys 0.1.6, published on October 13 at 07:47 UTC from an earlier commit. That installer version predates both updates; installing the latest npm package should not be assumed to include them. Talorys runs in the user’s own cloud account, but Cloudflare still processes chat and relevant memories through Workers AI. The project’s free-plan design also remains subject to Cloudflare’s usage quotas.
