Browser Use provides browser actions for AI agents. Its MIT-licensed Python software can operate a local browser, a Browser Use Cloud session or a connected browser supplied by an application. Model API and hosted-browser charges are separate from the code license.
Version 0.13.13 adds a Browser Use Actor-backed driver for OpenAI’s Python SDK browser tools. It requires Python 3.11 or newer, below 4, and the openai-tools extra with OpenAI Python 3.31 or newer, below 4. The model loop belongs to the OpenAI SDK; the driver carries out browser operations. Applications configure tool exposure, URL policy and action confirmation. It is a Python integration rather than a Codex plugin or a model.
