BrowserOS neo timeline
BrowserOS neo is a companion browser for an external AI agent, distinct from the same repository’s human-driven BrowserOS browser. MCP clients such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Hermes can control tabs, while the user watches or replays sessions. The browser is not itself a replacement model provider or a coding-agent plugin.
The October 21 server release includes a Docker route that exposes a noVNC viewer and an MCP endpoint, with browser and agent data persisted under a mounted data folder. The published guide keeps both ports on loopback because neither has built-in password authentication. Docker isolates the browser from the host, but Chromium’s own sandbox is disabled by default in this image.
