Chainguard Workspaces and Checks timeline
Chainguard Workspaces supplies remote microVMs that synchronize a developer’s working tree while keeping real credentials outside the agent’s execution environment. Optional network policies restrict outbound destinations. Chainguard Checks runs verification inside the development loop and produces signed attestations connecting an environment, test result and commit.
Both products launched in beta on October 14, 2026. Their security and performance descriptions are company claims; the product pages describe them as Technology Previews. Passing tests and verifying an attestation still depend on the checks and access policies a team chooses.
