claude-code-tools is an independent MIT-licensed collection of Python command-line utilities and coding-agent workflow helpers. Its aichat command manages session search, continuation and conversion. Version 1.31.0, released November 3, adds Codex-to-Codex provider porting: a new session retains compatible history while dropping reasoning and encrypted content that cannot transfer. The source session is preserved. The package requires Python 3.11 or newer, and its documentation lists Node.js 18 or newer for action menus. Model access is configured separately through the chosen coding harness and provider; the package does not include model weights or hosted inference access. Project behavior and tests are attributed to its documentation.
