Consus Gateway targets aerospace, defense and other organizations handling sensitive data. Its documentation describes an OpenAI-compatible API backed by AWS GovCloud, Azure Government and GCP Assured Workloads. The founder says callers must include a compliance suffix in the model name and that organizations are verified before receiving keys.
The company describes itself as FedRAMP Equivalent following a third-party assessment at the High baseline. Its compliance page distinguishes this from future application-level DoD IL5 authorization. Its broad zero-retention pitch also needs to be read alongside the founder’s launch-thread disclosure of an AWS GPT-5.x abuse-monitoring exception that can retain flagged requests for up to 30 days.
