DwarfStar

DwarfStar is a native local inference engine for selected DeepSeek models. Its repository includes the ds4 CLI, a coding agent called ds4-agent and a local HTTP server. It is a specialized runtime with its own supported weight formats and model paths; a GGUF filename alone does not establish compatibility with every other GGUF runner.

The English guide documents platform-specific builds, including Metal and CUDA, and describes integrations with existing coding-agent clients. Model support varies by backend. The software is MIT-licensed, while local compute, memory and storage remain the user’s responsibility. New weight uploads should be matched to the runtime’s current model documentation rather than treated as proof of identical support across platforms.
