Frame is an Apache-2.0 security tool installed as the Python package frame-security[scan], requiring Python 3.10 or later. Version 1.0.0 is the project’s first stable release, published October 27, 2026. Its documented scanner covers Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C# and C/C++, with cross-file data-flow analysis and a Z3-based separation-logic engine.
An optional model layer uses an OpenAI-compatible endpoint for additional detection, triage, authorized exploitation and proposed fixes. Local servers and hosted providers are separate configuration choices; hosted services can require credentials and incur charges. The project’s benchmark results and fix-verification claims have not been independently reproduced by AITrending. Scanning and re-scanning do not guarantee that software is secure.
