Google Universal Cart timeline
Google began rolling out Universal Cart in the US on October 15, 2026, across Search and the Gemini app. It keeps products from multiple retailers in one place and preserves shopping progress. Google describes notifications for price drops and returning stock, relevant promo codes and help selecting payment methods based on Google Wallet card benefits.
Supported purchases can use Google Pay inside the cart, while another route transfers products to a merchant’s cart for checkout there. Merchants remain the sellers of record and handle confirmations and customer support. Availability is retailer-dependent and the announcement does not establish an international rollout date. These are documented product features, not an AITrending purchasing or savings test.
