Lead Green timeline
Lead Green is a Katonic-funded public index of GPU watt-hours per million output tokens. Its October 19, 2026 launch packages 32 rows across 18 models, with source dates, configuration information and annual grid-emissions factors. The inference figures reuse ML.ENERGY measurements rather than establishing a new October benchmark.
Its API exposes static JSON without a key. The Apache-2.0 local stdio MCP server requires Python 3.10 or later and can use live data, a local folder or a bundled fallback snapshot. The documentation lists eight tools and configurations for Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Cursor.
The dataset compilation is CC BY 4.0 with underlying source terms preserved. Its GPU-only, busy-server figures exclude host, network, cooling and idle energy, so they are baselines rather than complete deployment footprints or hosted API measurements.
