Mirascope timeline
Mirascope is a library for building model-powered applications with ordinary Python functions or TypeScript calls. It unifies provider access, structured responses and tool execution. It is not a hosted model, coding-agent plugin or isolated execution environment. Application developers still choose model providers and implement the functions their tools execute.
The Python quickstart installs with uv add "mirascope[all]"; the separate early TypeScript release uses npm install mirascope@alpha. Provider keys or local endpoints must be configured as appropriate, with any inference charges determined by the selected provider. The MIT code license does not include paid model access.
TypeScript supports Zod validators without a transform and native interface patterns through a compiler transform or supported loader. Node’s runtime loader requires Node 20.6 or later; Deno users should use Zod patterns. Version 2.7.0 resumes TypeScript alpha development with additional provider support, MCP pagination and tool-argument validation. MLX remains Python-specific.
