Pi Continuity is the product name of the MIT-licensed pi-smart-compact package. It adds recoverable output archives, research rewind, session handoffs and verified compaction around Pi’s own session lifecycle. It requires Pi 0.87.1 or newer and Node.js 22.19 or newer, installed with pi install npm:pi-smart-compact.
Versions 10.6.0 and 10.6.1 add opt-in direct-Anthropic context editing and a correction to context-pressure accounting after local edits. Compaction review requires approval by default. Optional memory engines are installed separately; rewinding context does not undo files or external actions. Author release checks and replay measurements do not establish universal cost savings or semantic fidelity.
