CleanYourTV timeline
CleanYourTV combines a prompt for Claude Code or another coding assistant with shell access, Python tooling and a native launcher. The workflow connects to a television over local ADB, backs up settings, disables selected packages and installs a replacement home screen. The repository is MIT-licensed; the bundled Outfit font has separate open-font terms.
The documented launcher workflow targets Android TV and Google TV. Fire TV has a debloat-only route in the README, while the general prompt excludes it; Samsung Tizen and LG webOS do not use that same workflow. Some television firmware blocks launcher installation. The project describes restoration scripts and device-specific caveats, rather than a universal compatibility guarantee. Users supply their own assistant access and authorize debugging on the device.
