RoAR-VAE timeline

RoAR-VAE stands for Robust Alignment and Reconstruction VAE. The visual-tokenizer research combines prediction of semantic features with recovery of clean image details from corrupted latent representations. Its authors argue that this makes useful information easier for a downstream diffusion model to learn while preserving reconstruction fidelity.

The first paper version was submitted October 19, 2026. The English project page describes an open recipe comparable to FLUX.2-VAE, an author characterization rather than an independently verified universal equivalence. At the reviewed repository revision, training code, inference code and pretrained checkpoints are marked coming soon. The paper and diagrams are available; this entry does not imply that downloadable weights or an installable training package have shipped.
