CoworkOS timeline

CoworkOS separates a model’s planning and delegation decisions from runtime coordination, persistent state and feedback. A Main Agent, Coordinator Runtime and optional subagents operate on shared applications, including documents, presentations, CAD and Blender resources. Its November 2, 2026 paper describes long-running jobs and an automated post-training case study; reported performance remains the authors’ evidence.

The documented CLI supports macOS and Linux with Node.js 22.19.0 or newer. The desktop targets Apple-silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. Users supply a compatible model endpoint, model ID and API key, with provider usage charged separately. The architecture guide describes a local, single-user harness and explicitly says its permission controls do not establish a universal operating-system sandbox.
