jcode is a standalone coding-agent harness written in Rust, rather than an extension for another agent or a new language model. It connects terminal sessions to configured model providers and tools. Provider access and credentials are separate from the MIT-licensed harness.
Version 0.96.0 documents remote MCP connections over Streamable HTTP and legacy SSE, with explicit OAuth login and command-line connection management. Release downloads cover macOS, Linux, Windows and FreeBSD architectures listed on the release page. The release discloses that its binaries use patched tag source with a Windows listener repair; they are not built from the unchanged tag tree. AITrending has reviewed the English documentation, without independently running the software.
