TextFold timeline

TextFold reads papers, websites and local files at five levels, from full text to a compact section map. Document folding can use an existing coding-agent login or a configured model provider. The app runs locally, but that does not make every configured model local: document text used for model processing follows the selected provider’s connection.

Separate Claude Code and Pi integrations fold existing replies without a second summarizing model. The documented requirements are Claude Code 2.1.287 or later, or Pi 1.2.0 with Node 22.15 or later. The reader is available for macOS and Windows or as a Python 3.9+ package. Its October 19, 2026, 0.10.14 release addresses older Windows library files saved in a system codepage and subsequently read as UTF-8. The code is Apache 2.0; imported documents retain their own terms.
