PI-Desktop encrypted sync

PI-Desktop’s October 11 beta adds encrypted S3 backup and sync to its desktop workspace for AI coding agents. The project’s English release notes also list a simpler sync settings screen and an experimental sync control in packaged builds. The update addresses how users carry their workspace configuration between machines, while the project continues to describe its projects and sessions as local by default.

The release also fixes timed-out MCP requests, preserves embedded resource text in tool results and corrects a reasoning-token count in the chat interface. PI-Desktop describes its 0.18 line as an early preview, so the release is a beta workflow update rather than a claim that every sync scenario is production-tested.
